Recommended Coatings

Aside from the the detailing kits, here's a fantastic list of coatings that I've both used and recommend for protecting your car against environmental conditions. The list starts out with CarPro Cquartz, which is a coating I've been using for years on both my personal car and for customers' cars. I think it works great, and best of all it's very easy to apply, making it a great choice for beginners. Not to mention, 30ml is more than enough for 2 layers on an entire car. Next we have Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and EXO, which once combined also make a fantastic coating. I just recently applied it on the E36 and although its only been on a few weeks, I can say I've liked it a lot so far and Gtechniq is a fantastic company. Although I'm not sponsored, they gave me a promo code to share if I ended up liking the product and I definitely do, so feel free to use it.

Next we have less permanent coatings. Shine Supply Clutch is a fantastic option for those looking for a 6 month silica sealant. I've used it for years and it has been nothing but high performing and providing great water beading and durability. Next we have two great entry level coating options, both Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax and Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine are fantastic and cost effective options for those looking to get into protecting their paint.
